Ended up not going through with it. But! It was not a scam, it was just a sign on deal. A really good sign on deal if I was going to take it.
It came down to three things:<li>The drive out to this specific place was too far. (farther than I realized even looking at a map beforehand)</li><li>I would have to sign up for it, it wasn't a standalone deal. And this gym is notorious for "easy to sign up hard to cancel" traps.</li><li>And it was a one-sized fits none sort of circuit course. With my body, I wouldn't be able to do it.</li>
THAT SAID!!!!
It got me out. Got me thinking and in the mindset for going back to the gym. So I've got two other places near by that I'll be looking at and signing up for.
So. All in all a good thing for me. And they were real chill. No hard pressure sale. I asked three questions up front. Got my answers and said it wouldn't work out for me. And they shook my hand and wished me luck! Cool folks actually.
