Got one of those cheap macropads from AliExpress, commonly known as CH57x. Planned on using https://github.com/kriomant/ch57x-keyboard-tool to program it, but apparently the firmware on mine uses a slightly different protocol. So, I spent Sunday afternoon reverse-engineering the shit programming tool which is "conveniently" made available by the manufacturer on a Google Drive link. That involved windows on a VirtualBox VM + Wireshark. The good news is that it works. https://github.com/pferreir/ch57x-keyboard-tool/tree/support-8840-wip
