Sam Altman getting fired from OpenAI is a conspiracy. Hear me out:
This is a convenient way to get a bunch of talent to move to Microsoft.
Altman gets fired, then most of the disgruntled talent follows him to MSFT. They (MSFT) already have access to the OpenAI source from investing a bunch of money (I believe, someone correct me if I am wrong), so they don't have to start from zero. Next they'll get a huge influx of veteran talent. MSFT can now develop closed source AI model(s) and further consolidate the AI market.
