Judging from reports of long queues at airport rental car stations, number of scheduled events along the path of this years eclipse (particularly in the US) and the reporting on "photography" blogs todays eclipse will lead to a flood of mostly similar looking images on social media.
I witnessed my first solar eclipse in 1999 and didn't take any photos. The experience was incredible. Based on experience I fully agree with this advise:
