Well, at least the Bank of England will be pleased.... now the UK is officially in a #recession, the Sado-monetarists of Threadneedle St. will be satisfied that the pain is getting real.
The stabilisation of #inflation at 4% has already been used as a reason not to (further) reduce #interestrates (as predicted).... and now a shift into a proper #recession (rather than merely flatlining) will confirm to the BoE they *are* squeezing inflation out of the system.
At what cost, however?
