People tell me "rights violations are OK if the subject agrees to such violations."
Saying yes under threat of loss of livelihood is not consent. Walking away from a contract proposal means losing your livelihood or your rights. There is no real bargaining power.
Computer user freedom is important even if you're not a programmer. What matters is someone in your group can program. They can help the voices of the non programmers be heard.
