It’s politicians ability to portray others as less than human which is the root problem. Such sociopaths see no one except themselves as ‘human’. To wage war, you have to be able to discount the harm to your own side as well as the other.
Why do we continue to allow sociopaths to lead us? Sadly, it’s because they can lie so convincingly that we continue to trust them.
