FWIW as a recently new user, I really haven't had that much of an issue with Spam... Dip into the "global" feed every once in a while, it's mostly bots telling me the Bitcoin price and Japanese people talking about their day.
But isn't NIP-13 supposed to solve this? I notice that Coracle allows for proof of work on notes, but Amethyst doesn't...
