There’s so much Black history yet to be uncovered here in #blackhistorymonth 2024. Like how my mom mentioned in passing that her dad was vice president (and briefly president) of his mostly white cement masons union in Memphis— a union that seldom let Black people join. Somehow, he was able to take the reins.
I feel like I could spend the rest of my life running down stories like this. People care about these stories, if only they get a chance to hear them. 1/
