oh sure, I was just curious, because I haven't considered that to be a problem at all.
But yeah.. the recovery path being accessible on macos sounds like an important feature, even if that's just a side effect.
However there are people working on using a slim Linux boot environment instead of grub, so that could also solve this issue, but I've heard that the kexec way of doing things doesn't work on apple silicon devices.
