We are seeing posts of prominent Nostr figures capitulating, retreating back to X or whatever shitter is called nowadays. We can either shame them or blame ourselves for allowing this WoT cancer to continue engulfing Nostr.
WoT is the biggest friction Nostr has to adoption and it’s just sad to watch it sink into irrelevance.
When I joined there was none of that and we could find new people every single day, but then OGs with many followers shut the door behind them with WoT and it’s been a steady slope to the bottom ever since.
WoT is great for a small community perhaps, but for a network to continue growing it’s a sickness.
