In 2017/2018 I tried Steemit because I was craving for an alternative to Facebook (especially after I got an account closed because I refused to send them my fu***ng ID!). The latter is still a good place for me to share my creations and reach out the niche collectors I can't have all in one physical area. But you know they hold you by the bal*s.

Steemit was nonetheless a good introduction to the use of private and public keys, wallets and my interest to distributed ledger technology (as skewed as it could have been) was born and remained. The rewards for posts system was attractive and did work quite well. And there were a bunch of artists out there so the community was supportive. But of course when things started to dwindle down, whales left the boat and shrimps were left with their bag (good thing that I could save a tiny amount of btc that I hodled since ^^). I had not a single clue of what was going on "the market" and lost interest, my opinion back then being that Steemit just became increasingly complicated to onboard new people ...

With the time and once I finally started to understand what the hell Bitcoin really is, it became increasingly clear what the problem was: a token with no reason to exist but to serve convoluted ponzinomics under the whim of some devs.

Today with Nostr, the beauty lies in the simplicity and the choice, no need to worry about the future of my Sats because they're the hardest and most precious tiny bits of empowering data flowing through cyberspace.

Thankful to Satoshi and Nostr builders forever.
