Weston cell.
EPLEY is the manufacturer ?
I've (somewhere...) a ancient voltage reference unit containing 4 Weston Cells, with calibration certificates.
It has a battery powered, temperature controlled housing.
The contacts are 99.99% pure copper, and all cabling is supposed to be pure copper too (dissimilar metals => extra galvanic voltage, thermocouple).
These cells don't like high temperatures nor supplying any current.
If this happens, it can take months to stabilize again.
