This is a trade war. The trade war is justified. We will win.

Up until the Trump tariffs this week, the US has had practically no tariffs on imports. In contrast, other nations place huge tariffs on US made goods. Even US "allies" place huge tariffs on US made goods. Why are we paying for the national defense of NATO, South Korea, Taiwan, et al, when all those countries place massive tariffs on US goods?

The brunt of the foreign tariffs on US goods has been born by US workers. Entire industries, entire states have had their economies destroyed. Why? Make it in the US, you can only sell it in the US tariff-free. Make it somewhere else, you can sell it there AND the US tariff-free.

All the "tariffs are bad" cries are being ignored. Why? Because none of these voices ever complained about foreign tariffs on US made goods. Foreign tariffs are just as bad for our economy.

Trump in the best negotiator we have had in the oval office in decades. I base this not on his business career, but on the many landmark deals he made in his first term. If we are at all patient, we will get amazing trade deals with our partners. In the end, everyone wins.
