What is it about mastodon that there are so many people who complain about paywalls on news sites -- I get it in my replies here more often than I ever did on Twitter and Facebook, and more than on Bluesky.
Of ALL the places to understand why a free-for-users-but-ad-reliant model might be flawed, shouldn't it be Mastodon? I don't get it
