That premise is an incomplete truth.
The conscious choice is a mere accident of whether your god is good or evil. Many people consciously choose the wrong shit to worship.

Libertarians are correct up until they leave objective reality for some simulacrum hyperreality in their mind where the individual has primacy over the collective. Which is a logical absurdity.

The collective has primacy over the individual.
Meaning it comes first.
