um, yes, definite feeling reading that of an industry trying to pull the wool over our eyes for its own ends.
Suspect there is no correlation between the value of £-denominated bond and equity markets and investment in UK fixed assets. Could imagine it's even very much an inverse relationship - housebuilders would be an example where you'd see that.
