There are 21million coins, fewer in circulation. There are more than 10 times that many adults in the USA alone with an average income of more than half a bitcoin per year. There are more than 30 times that number of people in the world. If you just look at the price of bitcoin and the number of people, you can work out the likelihood that someone you know -not through bitcoin- will "get it". That likelihood will increase as the price goes up. It is very, very low right now.
