A guy at works neighbor works for a US appliance manufacture, Whirlpool I think but not sure. She said they design stuff to go 7-8 years because based on their research that's how often people flip appliances. Either by a remodel or moving.
So really, like having bad politicians in office, it all comes back on we the people f our own crap up.
