Another aspect of small farming is USDA, ag bill, government involvement. I can remember my grandad talking about parity pricing being the standard. They’ve messed with that multiple times over the years until it became nonexistent.
Like so many other aspects of our government, what might start out as a good idea devolves to a state or unrecognizable from original intent.
