Why do people continue playing in #TTRPG campaigns? What hooks them? "Fun" is a pretty generic term.
Its social aspect is pretty important to many players. But going out with friends is also a social event too. What makes RPGs different?
I think it's the therapy that it gives players, to be precise: psychodrama, a role-playing therapy that involves acting out situations of our past to understand our feelings better.
Now overlay that onto fictional roles & situations. More study needed.
