Hmmm... I agree the donations are also a major structural issue; but if you trying to establish that the country needs to pull together to find a way out of current malaise (which is what they are trying to present, it seems to me), then living it up on your chums' largesse while offering a hair shirt to the poor will not play well.... I think this is serrate from, but clearly linked to, the issue of donations & arty finances you raise.
