Twice in the last month I've been ready to accept someone's friend request on LinkedIn after they wrote a nice note, but then I saw they ended with something like "How about a virtual coffee?" and I'm like "Whoa, whoa, whoa." That's a quick "no" for me.
If I accept your friend request, I'm hoping you don't even message me unless you have something important to say. I hate those "Thanks for connecting" messages. I don't know who is telling people to do that.
