Do you have an always-on server at home? Did you plan to rent one? In either case, are you technical enough to run through setup & maintenance of the software?
Running email infrastructure is a MASSIVELY complex system that nearly every single company outsources. The one I work for is at the size where it could be done in-house & still don’t. You might want to pick up a Microsoft tenant for this & just accept that you’re going to need the extra help at the sacrifice of all your privacy (where you’re at today).
I don’t know of anywhere offhand that manages foss email infrastructure, but that definitely exists - I’d guess for a pretty penny that makes it cost-prohibitive though. Microsoft would be ~$20/m as a ballpark.
