So I did a few searches using the FamilySearch Full Text Search - just to see if anything new pops up for Ralph Hankins and/or Samuel Dougherty. Ralph's wife was Mary Dougherty.
Court records galore for Ralph Hankins in both Hunterdon County, NJ and Ulster County, NY - as well court records for Samuel Dougherty in Ulster County, NY.
Not sure if I'll find anything in any of them that helps identify the relationship them - but so many records that who knows!
