We've got a similar problem in Arkansas. Mild winters, but there's always a cold snap (15C today, -10 in two days time). The swings in the greenhouse can be brutal.
I'm going to be installing a minimalistic climate battery system in one of the greenhouses this spring. If it works, it'll become a standard as we go forward.
