Fiscal "conservatives" keep claiming we're spending too much money. I don't necessarily disagree, but I do disagree that social spending is wasteful. If anything, it generates more money for the nation as a whole. If we want to look at wasteful spending, let's look at our bloated sacred cow: the military.
