Hello and Happy Sunday to everyone. Our version 0.0.4 has been approved by the Apple App Store review and is now available to the general public.
We intend to spread the word so that we can all grow the Nostr community together.
With that we want to set some expectations.
1. We created the Current App for regular users who don't understand the difference between NIP05 and lightning addresses. As a result, we made both NIP05 and lightning addresses the same and easily selectable when creating the account.
2. Within one minute, anyone can download the app, choose a username, create an account, and post a message on Nostr.
3. Also made it easy to port their twitter follows and help with verifying their Nostr account on twitter.
4. They can be zapped instantly and receive Sats directly into their app wallet. Or transfer SATS from another lightning wallet
5. If you want to start orange + purple pilling your normal friends, Current App is a great place to start.
6. If you are a power Nostr user who also uses another app like Damus or Amethyst, you may notice that some features are missing in Current.
7. We are only two developers and have been working on this for six weeks. We are confident that we will be able to match all of the features in the coming iterations.
8. The Nostr protocol has the advantage of allowing you to use multiple Apps at the same time. Each one has a unique feature, for example, if you want to post a gif using GIPHY, use the Current App.
9. The app's performance isn't perfect. Because the entire Nostr ecosystem is new and evolving at breakneck speed, relays are experiencing sync and uptime issues. Spam is starting to appear, and different features are being implemented by different development teams.
10.There will be hiccups, bugs, and issues. If you are an experienced Nostr user, assist newcomers who are having difficulty or have questions. We're all in this together...!
