does anyone actually know the answer to this? or do people just assume they do (meaning lots of them get it wrong)?
The “lib” in “libtard” — is it short for “liberal” or “libertarian”?
They literally mean the opposite of each other, so I can never decide who’s gettin’ slagged when I see this term. (Because a feature of a lot of online writing is that the writers presume others share their perspective, so they could plausible mean a certain thing… or its exact opposite.)
Anyway, it’s stupid.
