What's interesting is that Meta chose to use Instagram accounts for threads instead of Facebook accounts. I mean, I'm sure it was some boring meeting between the Meta team and the Instagram team, like, "Using a separate new user account system it will take us 6 months to deliver threads. If we use Facebook accounts, a month. If we use Instagram accounts, and all the hooks we know, we can have it by the end of the week." Still, why wouldn't Zuck want it to use Facebook accounts?
