1. The bed is high. Every log needs to be lifted onto it. I don't have machinery to do that;
2. The bed is short. I need to be able to mill five metre timbers. You can get a five metre cut length trailer, but it's expensive and unwieldy.
Obviously if you're often moving the mill, the extra expense is worth it.
