A natural forrest is more diverse, more healthy, full of different organisms, microscopic, fungal bacterial, insects, animals, trees, plants, the list goes on. Trees in the wild in a forrest thrive, grow taller, are more healthy, than a tree planted in isolation. Fungi and other microbes produce chemicals, signalling to each other, communicating. Its no different to the vast array of microbes that live in and on our body that contribute around 99% of the available genetic material we are made up of. Do you really think all these microscopic living things are just sitting around on their own without any purpose not interacting with each other?
It really seems quite obvious to me that all these microbes including fungi mycelium are communicating in a chain that connects not only trees but all the living things that make up the forrest. They communicate with each other in a positive way that enables the life of the forrest to not only survive but thrive. So the communication / feedback mechanisms will help certain living things to grow and thrive including trees and or cause their demise as a sacrifice for the forrest to prosper and thrive. The communication can be positive or negative when taken in isolation, without seeing the bigger picture. Im so surprised that scientists don't acknowledge this, it really seems as clear as the sky is blue, or water flows, or when a tree falls in the forrest it creates a sound. I suppose even the wisest people dispute even these most obvious blatant conclusions. I nod my head.
