Their totalitarianism and extremism also breeds paranoia, because even they understand that they're blacklisting everyone who's not 100% left-liberal, which in turn makes them unable to truly trust any "right-thinking" creator of *actually* being a True Believer, rather than someone just saying the right things to keep his career.
