We patronize a Christmas tree farm that is in a very red hat part of my area, and last year they were completely scandalized when my friend and I were wandering around chatting to each other, which, of course by necessity means tactile sign language because I'm deafblind! They thought we were lesbians! It was awesome! They were so uncomfortable. It was very difficult not to laugh in their faces. I'm very disappointed that this year nobody batted an eye. No fun!
