I always thought only history gets to label something a Manifesto, and only after it has stood the test of time. Anyone, like say Andreessen, proudly and hubristically self-labeling their work a Manifesto runs the risk of, oh yes, it gets recognized by the public as one, but pejoratively; it gets recognized for all the wrong reasons, and held up as an example of why it’s so fraught to write one in the first place.
