A limbic system is an indispensable precursor of intelligence.
We still suffer from the misguided notion that intelligence is some cold, hard, purely objective measurable trait.
But intellect, and emotion, are inextricably intertwined.
Memory is emotionally filtered.
Context is a direct result of the shared human emotional filtering process.
I'm baffled as to how one creates intelligence without neuro-transmitting chemicals incessantly producing *feelings* that guide memory transcription -- and thus behavior.
