I was thinking more of a mixed model for the schooling. A combination of home schooling, forest school, community workshops, etc. Traditional schools are not inclusive for lots of kids. An alternative model would appeal to lots of parents and actually encourage them into the village I think.
A model that requires a minimum number of children to be viable seems problematic to me, given that the planet is overpopulated.
