If you use Insomnia for API development or testing DO NOT upgrade to the latest version (v8).
They will hide or overwrite all your local data and collections without warning. Some people were able to recover by using the "export" button.
Another option is to downgrade. The data should still be intact. Homebrew still has the old version so that can be an option for some.
If you decide to upgrade after all, make sure to backup all your data first.
