All things considered, I would recommend against having any of your posts get more than about 200 boosts. That seems to be when they have enough escape velocity that the replies get just exponentially asinine.
So, you know, try to be less clever.
This is a shining example of why the top level post should have primacy: to enable features like "require approval for replies from non-followers".
