The whole reason Sony manages to stay afloat is Sony has historically had an amazing marketing team, and not just in game consoles.
Sony managed to buy a failing camera company with a cult following (Minolta) and in just a few years managed to gain extreme market share.
Then with game consoles there were many famous Sony moments, while there were a lot of misses (the entire lifecycle of the Vita, the early PS3 ads, literally every PSP ad in the USA from "dude get your own" to Marcus PSP, etc.), there were many hits (PS4 and the used game viral video, the later PS3 ads, etc.), and most notoriously the PS1 price bombshell where Sony was undercutting Sega (and nearly everyone else) bigtime.
They can shit out woke games all day and will continue to be carried by NPCs who want to play CoD, GTA, and 2K.
