When Julian Assange was pulled out of the Ecuadorian Embassy by London police, he had one chance…the distance from the front door to the police car…to communicate with the world.
He did this by holding one book with its cover to the cameras. That book was Gore Vidal’s “History of the National Security State.”
I got the message and ordered several copies immediately. I hope everybody else did too. Gore Vidal is a dissident who spent the end of his life elucidating the mechanisms of the elite’s control over the masses.
It is Assange’s wish that you read this book…
