So I just used a Bitcoin ATM for the first time, more for fun and the experience than anything. The markup is utterly insane. $131,000 Bitcoin price.
I guess that’s what you pay to not have to use your SSN? Now what? Move in the Bisq or something? Quite the hassle and doesn’t really feel as though it’s 1. Private, or 2, protecting my money, seeing as the machine has a camera, and they know my wallet address now? And then any wallets it interacts with? Can somebody please make a positive case for bitcoin ATMs? Also, I called their customer support line and it just straight up said “if you are law enforcement, press 1” so obviously these are being used for wacky things.
