Humans have plastics in their bodies. They have been found in hearts. The ocean is infested with microplastics. No plankton means no humans.
How many butterflies do you see now versus your childhood? That’s usually enough to get people locally to recognize the change.
Obviously 🙄 this is all dependent on one’s age, location & if they pay attention to the world around them. Wildfires, heat indexes etc.
So sure: call it overblown but there are plenty of things wrong with the environment that need fixed.
