The title is completely wrong.

The kernel stops scaling a scheduler parameter past 8 cores because it's probably heuristically determined to not be worthwhile.

I very much doubt this is a mistake or wrong, he just didn't bother to research or talk to anybody.

But this is the culture now, shit all over kernel devs as a default. The fact there are literal kernel maintainers who contribute to this, self-appointed hectored martyrs who act as if lashing out publicly is necessary because the kernel is so so mean, is very disappointing.

But that's the culture we live in these days, sucks really.

This guy is just embarrassing himself.
