1.5l for what distance? In doubt, always carry more water than you think. In terms of weight, it doesn't really matter if you carry 1 or 2 liters with you, but it makes a huge difference for your body if you get dehydrated while doing sports.
The general rule of thumb for running is to add 10°C and then ask yourself how much water you'd carry.
