Now that the US imports 3 billion barrels of oil a day while simultaneously exporting 3 billion barrels a day, it seems that both importing and exporting oil should stop in the US. This zero-sum import/export game does nothing but keep oil tankers and dock workers busy with make-work, with pointless pollution and waste of energy moving oil back and forth across the ocean to no real purpose. We should just pull our of the ME at this point; those countries have nothing to offer us now.
