Another grim but not infrequent story from #Russia - 27 years old Artem Buchin from Perm Krai killed a girl in 2022, he was sentenced and imprisoned but signed a contract with the army. As many other violent criminals, he joined "Wagner" group, fought in #Ukraine and was pardoned after six months. He signed a new contract, was wounded, returned home and killed his 27 years old fiance and 7 years old daughter. Cases of "special military operation veterans" killing their relatives and random people are frequent, because Russian ministry of defense recruited violent criminals in the first place. In cases of minor violence, such as robberies and beatings, Russian soldiers enjoy a kind of impunity especially if they are in active service. Violence is also widespread inside Russian army, with extrajudicial killings of soldiers and confiscation of share of their salaries by the commanders.
