Had a conversation recently with a leftist buddy about "mysterious" medical conditions that became prevalent in the last 50 years. eg: multiple sclerosis, autism, celiac's.
He was fully on board with the official "nobody knows why" narrative from the establishment. But when I asked if it was possibly linked to the thing that nobody is allowed to study, he got defensive and attacked me for being a "conspiracy theorist".
The brainwashed are programmed to defend their brainwashers to the end.
