a little frustrated by something...

i have a large mineral collection i need to photograph, & i've got all the gear + & it's a heat advisory all day every day so i can't go outside... so it's the perfect time to do it

but

i'm finding i'm just not motivated & it's not getting done-- still photography seems more like a "to do" than a hobby

what excites people about this kind of photography? what would you tell me to get me off my duff?
