Yeah, it would be a perfect station for fishermen. No official stops there really, so I imagine you just had to know the right folk to take a day up there fishing.
You can see pretty clearly from the drone shots there's no road up there.
Maybe the Railscot website would be the place to find out if there was another station without roads in Scotland. I might go look later.
